Nearly two years ago, the 25 year old Luke Pittard became a millionaire by winning £1.3 million lottery jackpot.
Luke did what most of us would do if we won a lot of money. He bought a house for the family (wife and daughter) and
quit the job at McDonald’s.
Now, tired of relaxing, he asked for his old job back and is now working again at McDonald´s as a staff trainer where he is earning £5.85 an hour. He earns more money weekly on his interest than on his job.
Next time you eat at McDonald´s you might be served by a millionaire…

Wow, that’s what I want to do…a millionaire.

What an absolute simpleton. Sure 1.3mil isn’t THAT much, but with investing you can live off of it WITHOUT working. I cannot fathom these morons that want to return to work. Life is short… one should be traveling and culturing themselves as much as possible, and with a lottery win, the kind of travel one can do is endless. Oh well… some people will never leave the town they grew up in. Sad.

Winning £1.30 doesn’t make you a millionaire…

I was going to launch into a tirade about how this guy is an insipid cog in the wheels of modern industry. I might even have mentioned something about the conditioned slave mentality of the masses that has been foisted upon us by the corporate plantation owners of thought in this end of days. But upon reading that this man has a wife and daughter whom he bought a house for (at least) with his lotto winnings, I give myself pause.
Maybe he is trying to instill a healthy work ethic in his daughter so that she doesn’t grow up to be a bitchy golddigger and that she can see the time honored character building tradition of working towards a goal step by step, instead of just looking for someone to hand her a life of royalty on a silver platter simply because she comes from a parental lineage of means (however earned).
I can honestly say that I applaud this man for his attempt to instill in his child the real reasons for enjoying the true meaning behind ‘you reap what you sow’. Perhaps Mr.Pittard has lived a life of good samaritanism for all his days and his good Karma has paid off. Maybe that’s why he went back to work at McDonald’s. In any case, he’s a better man than I am. I would just say F*** off to the workaday world, buy an island somewhere in the most tropical of locales on the face of the planet, invest in real estate, and be happy sipping cocktails on the beach of my newly purchased island while being a hypocritical A** telling my daughter to get up off her ass and do something to earn a living.
cheers to you Mr Luke Pittard. And yes, I will have fries with that. As a matter of fact you can just go ahead and Supersize me…. Oh, wait. They don’t do that anymore….

@Richard-Yeah, it does. over a million dollars or pounds or what have you kinda by definition makes you a millionaire.
mil·lion·aire (mĭl’yə-nâr’) Pronunciation Key
n. A person whose wealth amounts to at least a million dollars, pounds, or the equivalent in other currency.
Just so you know.
@Greg - Well, if it pleases someone more to stay at home than to travel, they’re making the right decision, are they not?

:S lol sorry Richard just realized that you meant the article states he won 1.3 Pounds XD

oh my days how pretentious churn and greg are. instead of trying to put in a load of crap about being “conditioned slave mentality of the masses that has been foisted upon us by the corporate plantation owners of thought” to make yourself sound clever how about looking at a better reason for his going back to work. He was bored. simple. He doesnt have enough to live a life in the caribbian with a yacht but he does have enough to live comfortably from the interest. He’s got a job because sitting around all day gets boring and Maccy D’s is a soft enough job just to have an easy life.

a house? what a poor investment, when he could have bought over 1,000,000 double cheeseburgers off the dollar menu

Who are we to tell Luke what he should be doing?
